Having experienced the success of a franchise model in the US and keen to explore the international market, in 1993, James set up a new recruitment company in the UK – Humana International Group.

Considerable effort was devoted to creating the infrastructure and training platform to support the Humana model. The key strategy was to attract highly ambitious captains of industry and tempt them with the opportunity to build their own headhunting businesses in their specific sector, backed up with the support of the recruitment expertise, network and infrastructure that Humana could offer.

An ambitious marketing campaign was launched and within a year, 10 franchises were sold in the UK, followed by overseas expansion culminating in a number of offices across the world, including Germany, Singapore and Brazil.
